Courses are generally a combination of information-giving and practical work on realistic cases and situations, including queries brought by participants themselves. All course participants are given packs of background information for future reference.

Trainers draw on their wide experience of the ‘letter of the law’ and on its practical application gained from dealing with hundreds of enquiries from workers to the PERS Advice Lines.

‘Tailored Training’

PERS can offer training that is tailored as precisely as possible to the needs and requirements of participants. We are always happy to discuss these in advance and to adapt existing courses for your organisation, or design a new course specifically for your needs.

We prefer to train a group of between 6 and 20 people. We do not have our own training premises and require a room and a flipchart. We welcome the provision of refreshments, especially on longer courses!

Tailored Training Charges

  • Full day (6 hours), 2 trainers: £695.00 plus expenses*
  • Full day (6 hours), 1 trainer: £395.00 plus expenses*
  • Half day (3 hours), 2 trainers: £360.00 plus expenses*
  • Half day (3 hours), 1 trainer: £220.00 plus expenses*

*Expenses are to cover travel costs to and from the training venue plus subsistence/meal expenses for trainers where applicable.

‘Off The Peg’ Training

Our ‘off the peg’ training provides popular courses on a range of employment rights and management issues. These participative courses are limited to 25 people, and aim to give an overview of employment law, and how it impacts small organisations, using presentations and case studies.

If you are interested in our training courses and would like to discuss your needs please call and speak to one of our advisors on 01924 428033 or email us by clicking here.

Cancellation Policy and failure to attend free courses

Testimonials

"It was exactly what we wanted and it went down really well with all the participants." (About commissioned training.)
Judith Hickman, Enterprise Operations Manager, Tenants Hall Enterprise Centre.

"The level of understanding and professionalism for such intense topics has been outstanding. I find that the trainers absolutely understand where the customer is coming from and they respond in a way that helps everyone to understand. It is not an easy task to make anyone redundant, but with the right kind of training and support behind you, it can make it as painless as possible."

"Newlands Enterprise staff have received training and support from PERS for several years. We have attended training and workshops and also enjoyed bespoke training for our staff and volunteer management committee."
